Multimedia Integration

One of the great things about online education, from the learners’ perspective, is the tight integration of content and multimedia. On the flip side of things, bringing multimedia from whatever its source may be, into your online course, is not always as pleasant an experience. We have worked with previous clients through the process of capturing, editing, and publishing various media.

Many things can be included in this category, some of which are:

• Video (view online)
• Audio (listen to online)
• Web-conferencing (real-time streaming web cams and/or mics)
• Whiteboarding (real-time shared drawing/workspace area)
• Interactive flash content (may incorporate video, audio, etc. but may also have interactive multiple choice questions, matching activities, etc. – lots of room for creativity here)   This type of content can potentially be linked to grading within Moodle.

We have developed an original online multi-angle video player. This player allows the student to select which angle the video may be viewed from while the video is playing (at any point in the video). Check out a moodle course multi-angle video demonstration, (live on a site we administer – just click “log in as guest” – or view it on our own multi-angle video demonstration site), to get a better idea of what this is. This player was designed specifically for educational purposes and we’ve received very good feedback from students and customers.
